Michael has more than 10 years’ in-house and agency communications experience across a variety of sectors including professional services, primary industry, telecommunications, financial and alternative investment, energy, technology, travel, health and wellness. His strengths lie in strategic communications and media relations, crisis and issues management, thought leadership and digital and social media strategy.
During six years in London he managed communications and media relations for a global billion dollar law firm and international business advisers Grant Thornton, including providing crisis communications advice for a number of alternative investment houses and funds through the global financial crisis.
Michael has been recognised with professional awards for his work on the launch of Emirates Airlines in New Zealand and for the Genesis Energy Annual Report. He holds a Bachelor of Communications from Auckland University of Technology with majors in Multimedia and Public Relations.
